Nomex Batting is used for adding a soft touch to seat cushions. It is excellent for channeling and tufting.
This batting is capable of passing the 14 CFR 25.853(c) Oil Burn for Seat Cushion test without a fire barrier, but do not use this product in place of a fire barrier. It is not adequate enough to protect the foam on its own. See our favorite Fire Blocking Fabric instead.

Can this replace a fire barrier?
No. While it can pass the 14 CFR 25.853(c) Oil Burn for Seat Cushion test with suitable foam, it should not be used in place of a fire barrier. It isn't adequate to protect most foams on its own; use our Fire Blocking Fabric instead. The exception is when paired with DAX Foam® or Galaxy foam.
