SKU# GXY25-S-050-52300
automotive airplane marine railway
MORE 1/4" GXY25-S EXPECTED MID-OCTOBER.

Bramport Galaxy FoamTM is a graphite-based polyurethane foam designed to meet the stringent fire testing requirements for the aerospace industry. These rolls are laminated with a fire-retardant fabric with two-way stretch.

Galaxy FoamTM is capable of passing the FAR 25.853(c) oil burn test without the use of a fireblock layer. This is a cost-effective alternative to DAX Foam® for certain installations (not a direct replacement).

Sold in 300" (25') rolls, 50"-52" wide, continuous or non-continuous (it may contain a break in the roll). Thicknesses include 1/4" (0.25") and 1/2" (0.5"). Also available without scrim in sheets and rolls.

This product greatly exceeds automotive flammability standards.

Airplane-Compliant.png • This product is acceptable for use in all types aircraft and rotorcraft.
    • Can pass the 14 CFR 25.853(c) Oil Burn for Seat Cushion without a fire blocking layer when paired with a suitable dress cover. (Note: A dress cover passing 25.853(a) does not necessarily mean it will perform well during the Oil Burn test).
    • Use of fireblocking fabric can greatly increase cushion performance during testing.
Boat-Partial-Compliant.png This product is acceptable for use in marine interiors, but is not water resistant or repellent. A waterproof barrier would likely be required.
Train-Unknown-Compliant.png Unknown at this time whether this material is acceptable for use in Railway applications.

    Fire-Certified Foam with a Ready-to-Work Surface

For seat cushion projects that demand aerospace-grade fire performance and an integrated fabric surface, Galaxy Foam rolls with scrim offer a practical, all-in-one solution. Bramport Galaxy Foam is a graphite-based polyurethane foam engineered to meet the stringent fire testing requirements of the aerospace industry, and this version comes laminated with a fire-retardant fabric featuring two-way stretch.
